Dr. Ron Dimentberg
Dr. Dimentberg completed medical school and Orthopaedic Surgery training at McGill University, then pursued subspeciality fellowship training in knee and shoulder surgery at Rush University in Chicago, Illinois. He has performed well over 4000 arthroscopic and reconstructive knee surgeries and is actively involved in teaching and clinical research. In 2010 he started the St Mary’s Arthroscopic Surgery Course for teaching Orthopaedic Residents advanced surgical skills. He initiated the McGill affiliated fellowship programs in Sports Medicine and Total Joint Arthroplasty which provide newly graduated surgeons an opportunity to master complex procedures.
He is a past recipient of the Hingston Award for Medical Leadership, helping guide St Mary’s Orthopaedics in becoming one of the largest joint replacement centers in Quebec. In 2018 he received the Arvind Joshi Award for Medical Innovation. He is currently collaborating with Accelero Health initiating their 1st Canadian program in surgical optimization of hip and knee replacement surgery
